Community Groups
A Place To Belong
We aren’t meant to live in isolation. Our souls were designed to live in relationship with others and community groups provide a vehicle for relationships while following Jesus alongside one another.

Group Structure
The church isn’t just a gathering on the weekend or an event during the week. Jesus doesn’t just save us as isolated individuals; He brings us into the family of God, where we now learn to follow Jesus together.
We’ve set up our Center Communities to help us follow the pattern of Jesus’ life alongside others.
UP
Hearts focused on God.
IN
Deep relationships with others.
OUT
Lives turned to those in need.
Community Group FAQ’s
-
A Community Group is a group of 10-16 people who meet regularly to read & discuss God’s Word, build relationships as they spend time together, and encourage one another to trust and obey God more and more each day. Community Groups are led and cared for by trained volunteer leaders who are committed to helping their group members center every part of their lives on Jesus.
-
Both of these questions depend on the individual group, but most Community Groups meet weekly in the home of one of the group leaders or another group member’s home. We have groups meeting as far south as Lake Zurich, and as far north as Antioch.
-
Each individual group handles childcare needs a bit differently. Some groups have young kids present as a regular part of their meeting time, other groups hire a babysitter to watch all of the kids wherever the group meets, and some groups leave it up to each individual family to find childcare each week. Whatever the situation, we would love to help you figure this out in a way that is helpful for you and your kids.
-
No, you do not have to be a member of Center to join a Community Group. These groups are open to anyone who is seeking to grow in their faith within a Christ-centered community. We even have some people in Center Community Groups who haven’t yet attended a Sunday service. We love this because we believe that spiritual growth happens best in the context of genuine relationships.

Yes, absolutely! You can meet with group leaders beforehand to get a sense of the group, and you’re welcome to try out different groups at the start of each season (fall, winter, spring). Let us know if you’d like to explore other options—we’re here to help!
